How long have you been trading and how did you start?

I’ve been trading for several years. I initially got interested in forex because I was fascinated by how global economic events, market sentiment and price action could all come together to create opportunities. I started by learning the basics and gradually developed my own approach through a lot of screen time, practice and, of course, some mistakes along the way. Over time, I became much more focused on having a clear setup, managing risk and staying disciplined rather than simply trying to predict where the market would go.

What was the most valuable lesson you learnt while trading?

Protecting your capital is just as important as making profits. There will always be another opportunity in the market, so there’s no need to force a trade. I’ve learned to be patient, wait for the setups that fit my strategy, and accept that being wrong is simply part of trading. For me, consistency and discipline matter much more than trying to make a big profit from every trade.

What qualities or habits do you think are essential for a trader?

I think discipline, patience and emotional control are essential. A trader needs to be able to follow a plan even when the market is moving quickly, and just as importantly, know when to stay out of the market. Trading is as much about managing yourself as it is about analysing the market.

Describe your best trade so far: which instrument, strategy and profit did you make?

It was a EURUSD trade held over the weekend and when market opened on Monday it had a huge gap down and I got about 50 extra pips.
